Before joining Adtel, Batara was heavily involved in rural electrification projects through solar around the country. Since joining Adtel in 2009, he was able to lay down the foundation for growth by establishing seven regional offices to capture the nationwide potential of small-, medium- and large-scale opportunities in solar and water.

Batara obtained his electrical engineering degree from the Technological Institute of the Philippines.
